What is the Confirmation Messages Feature
Confirmation Messages is a feature that lets you prompt your customer to confirm their appointment. A message will be sent asking the customer to "Reply C to confirm". When they do this, we track when they've confirmed, and forward that information to the notification email address on file.
As an added bonus, all text messages we receive before the day of the appointment will now be sent to the notification address on your account, just like when someone replies to an email.
How to Enable Confirmation Messages
Adding confirmation messages to your PinPoint Status Premium account is quick and easy. We've already added a default message to your account, so all that you need to do is enable it.
You can do this by going to the Messaging tab in the sidebar, select "Confirmation Message", and in the "Settings", check "Send messages using this template?". Hit "Update Message template" at the bottom of the page and you are set!
As with all custom messaging, you can edit the content of the message on the "Text Message" tab.
Additionally, you will let us know you want unconfirmed appointments to be brought into PinPoint if you are using an integration like Moraware.
Unconfirmed Appointments in the Mobile App
By default, unconfirmed appointments will not appear in the mobile app. There is an option on the company settings page to have the appointments appear. If it is enabled, these appointments will show up, but will appear orange and give the service provider a notice that it is not confirmed when starting the appointment.
